How do I describe them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need vocabulary and strategies for this topic for both IELTS Writing and Speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:47px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-academic-task-1\"><strong>#1: Academic Task 1<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Many Task 1 topics could require you to describe an indoor or outdoor space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, you may get academic maps asking you to compare a village and how it\u2019s changed over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could also have images of two different spaces which you must compare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an outdoor mall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an indoor mall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rooms in a home<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>parks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:47px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-general-task-1\"><strong>#2: General Task 1<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You might need to include descriptions of places in your letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>formal: describing a vacation you are taking or want to take<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>informal: thanking a friend for a vacation, photos, or a visit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These letters can include detailed descriptions of places visited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:47px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-writing-task-2\"><strong>#3: Writing Task 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Topics for Task 2 could also require descriptions of places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The essay could ask for you to agree or disagree with a statement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Although some people value their public parks, this space could be better used for other purposes such as residential areas for the growing population or to develop the economy of a city.
