Michelle about all the different time zones for the All Ears English team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michelle responds that she is on Eastern time, Lindsay is Mountain time, and Jessica is on Pacific time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aubrey lives in Arizona that has its own time zone, so she is on Mountain half the year and Pacific the other half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also have a team member in the Central time zone, and some are in Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working with different time zones can get confusing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When scheduling a meeting, everyone\u2019s time zone should be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is common in a lot of workplaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In today\u2019s episode, Lindsay and Michelle share how to schedule things at work when your colleagues are in id=\"h-schedul-ing\"><strong>Schedul<\/strong>ing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are in a workplace that deals with international clients or colleagues, you have to consider time zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay mentions that you should never assume that people know where you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When communicating with someone who may be working in a different time zone, always in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><br>\u201cIs that EST or MT?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-mention-your-time-zone\"><strong>#2: Mention your time zone<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It can also be good to say what time zone you\u2019re in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then they can take that into consideration when choosing the time to book a call with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><br>\u201cI\u2019m in California, so it\u2019s 6 a.m. here\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-respecting-time\"><strong>Respecting time<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When making plans or arranging meetings, you have to be mindful of everyone\u2019s time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s good to check in and confirm their time zone and make sure to ask if that is a reasonable time for them for the meeting or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/confidence-for-presentations-at-work\/\">presentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have to be respectful of everyone&#8217;s time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have a general awareness that not everyone will be attending the meeting at a time that is convenient for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When setting a meeting, be mindful of the run time of the discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone is attending at odd hours, you don&#8217;t want to let the meeting go long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" she has ever encountered a time zone mishap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She shares an experience where she had a call with a friend who was in Chile and she thought she was in Columbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After
