The phrase \u2018kill time\u2019 means filling wasted time while waiting on something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This can happen in numerous scenarios, like meetings, presentations, and other work situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This entails stalling or delaying in order to have more time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He tried to buy time by bringing up the team\u2019s goals for the next year, but the boss caught on and asked him where his project was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#3: Save time<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To \u2018save time\u2019 is to do something faster or more efficiently so it is finished it in a shorter period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will also hear the noun \u201ctime saver.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
