over<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a great phrasal verb to describe relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The structure is bond over + activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>My daughter and I like to bond over our shared love of classic rock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I love bonding over books with people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that &#8220;bond&#8221; can also be a verb and a received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A band 9 term is to describe a gift as carefully curated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means a lot of thought was put into picking something specific that someone would love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jessica shares an example of choosing a gift her mother would love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I spent some time finding a carefully curated gift for my It&#8217;s the thought that counts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an expression used when something doesn&#8217;t work out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It means the intention is important even if the result wasn&#8217;t as hoped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The chocolate was melted when I gave it to her, but it&#8217;s the thought that counts!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sample-part-2-answer\"><strong>Sample Part 2 answer<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jessica provides a band 9 sample answer to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/start-a-speaking-part-2-answer\/\">Speaking Part 2<\/a> question<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Describe a party you\u2019d like to give for a friend or family member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>So, honestly, I don\u2019t really like hosting parties and it seems like a lot of work, but I will tell you a celebration day that someone planned for me recently!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>She then describes a mother&#8217;s day that her son made very special for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>He made her breakfast and then they went shopping, watch <em>Supernatural<\/em>, and went on a bike ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They then ate ice cream, went to a spring water corridor, had a deep talk about church friends and religion, and then she read to him before bedtime.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-avoid-this-ielts-mistake\"><strong>Avoid this IELTS mistake!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jessica spoke with a friend who is hosted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can talk about anything as long as you mention the topic on the card first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice in Jessica&#8217;s answer she just says she doesn&#8217;t like hosting parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She then shares a seemingly unrelated story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t matter as long as you mention the topic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\"
