Listen to Get Native Phrases to Say That You\u2019re Going to Leave<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This episode is great to learn phrases to use when you need to leave a party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bail and its several meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We definitely understand when Min mentions that it can still be confusing even if you look up a word in the dictionary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The word \u2018bail\u2019 in itself already has multiple meanings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of its meanings refers to temporary release from prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another is the removal of water from a boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also confuse \u2018bail\u2019 with \u2018bale,\u2019 as these are homophones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Homophones are two or more words that sound the same but have different meanings and spellings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Bale\u2019 as a noun refers to a wrapped bundle and when used as a verb, it means to make into a bundle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples of \u2018bale\u2019 used as a noun are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bale of hay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bale of cotton<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An example of \u2018bale\u2019 used as a verb is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To bale hay in the morning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Phrasal verbs with the word \u2018bail\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a couple of useful phrasal verbs with the word \u2018bail.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#1: Bail on<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This means canceling a commitment or not showing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You usually use this followed by a noun or pronoun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You would bail on something or someone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an informal term and this isn\u2019t recommended to be used in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/how-to-show-intensity-in-english\/\">business setting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I don\u2019t mean to bail on you, but I\u2019m sick and can\u2019t make it tonight.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I can\u2019t believe he bailed!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#2: Bail out<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This has four different meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first one is to help someone with a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is particularly used to refer to the help provided for a financial problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I can\u2019t make rent this month.
