How to Comment On Someone&#8217;s Love Life in English<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But you can also use the term \u2018honeymoon\u2019 to talk about work or when you start projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to use \u2018honeymoon\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Honeymoon\u2019 is a very versatile expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use it to refer to many different beginnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the phase where everything is new and exciting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be the start of a marriage, relationship, or job before everything settles in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some examples of how you can use the term \u2018honeymoon\u2019 in different ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-marriage\"><strong>#1: Marriage<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThey were in the honeymoon phase for 3 years, but then they started having marital troubles.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-job\"><strong>#2: Job<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cShe loves her job now, but it\u2019s only been a month, so she\u2019s still in the honeymoon phase.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-relationship\">#<strong>3: Relationship<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThey\u2019ve been dating for three months, so they are still in the honeymoon phase, but I actually think they have a good chance of being in it for the long haul&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Moving from the honeymoon phase<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay took a business course and it has been running for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the start, she was really pumped up and excited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, she feels that she is moving out of the honeymoon phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is still interested in doing it but she isn\u2019t as excited about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where you would say, &#8220;I&#8217;m no longer in the honeymoon phase.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michelle also experienced the honeymoon phase when she moved to New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving to a new place, she was definitely very excited and wanted to try so many new things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may hear a variation of the term \u2018honeymoon phase.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some may say the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>honeymoon stage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>honeymoon period<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These all mean the same thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Roleplay<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you have a better understanding of the term \u2018honeymoon\u2019, this roleplay will give you the chance to see it used in a conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this scenario, Lindsay is telling Michelle about her new relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Michelle: <\/strong>So how is everything going with you guys?<br><strong>Lindsay: <\/strong>It\u2019s actually really really great.<br><strong>Michelle: <\/strong>That\u2019s awesome! How long has it been?<br><strong>Lindsay: <\/strong>Maybe six months. But I\u2019m a little worried we are still in the <strong>honeymoon phase<\/strong>. We haven\u2019t had any real issues or had to solve any problems.<br><strong>Michelle:<\/strong> Enjoy it! Maybe it\u2019s just easy, which is how relationships should be. It may not be a <strong>honeymoon stage<\/strong>. Maybe things are just that good!<br><strong>Lindsay: <\/strong>True! That would be great. I\u2019m really happy.
