The two-dollar coin is called a toonie. A loon is a bird found in Canada. This bird is imprinted on their one-dollar coin, which is how it got this nickname.<\/li><li><strong>Timmy\u2019s &#8211;<\/strong> Tim Horton&#8217;s is a famous coffee shop in Canada. It is the equivalent of Starbucks in America. They would use the slang Timmy\u2019s to refer to Tim Hortons. Coffee culture is very big in Canada. Another slang related to this is getting a \u2018double-double\u2019. This means a coffee with two creams and two sugars.<\/li><li><strong>Beauty &#8211;<\/strong> This means something is amazing or really good. You\u2019ll hear someone say, \u201cIt\u2019s a beauty day out\u201d or, \u201cShe\u2019s a real beauty.\u201d It doesn\u2019t refer to physical beautiful, but means that thing is great.<\/li><li><strong>Toque &#8211; <\/strong>This means a winter hat. It is really cold in Canada and winter wear is common.
