I\u2019d be happy to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is such a positive and friendly way to respond to someone who is asking you a question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a great thing to say when you&#8217;re being interviewed and someone asks you if you could give your background or tell a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This helps you start the tone right for the interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s episode is a continuation of a recent episode done here at All Ears English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was episode <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/can-do-attitude-in-business-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AEE 1876: Have a Can-Do Attitude in Business English.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay and Aubrey promised another episode to share more positive and friendly English phrases you can use in the business setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is important because how you start something and how you end it are both memorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your tone is vital in ensuring you kick things off right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some positive responses you can definitely use in business English and in your daily life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#1: Happy to do that <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The full phrase is, &#8220;I&#8217;d be happy to do that&#8221; or &#8220;I&#8217;m happy to do that.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, when you use this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/aee-1919-you-will-have-mastered-future-perfect-english-grammar-by-the-end-of-this-episode\/\">you can drop the subject and verb<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can just say, \u201cHappy to do that.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a useful phrase in informal writing and spoken English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#2: I\u2019d love to<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This has the same meaning as &#8216;happy to do that,&#8217; but with a little extra enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It means you really want to do something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You wouldn\u2019t say \u201cI\u2019d love to\u201d when you\u2019re not really willing or thrilled to do what is asked of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reserve this phrase for things you are genuinely excited about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#3: I\u2019m thrilled to<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like \u201cI\u2019d love to,\u201d this has an even bigger emotion than \u201cI\u2019m happy to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are expressing that you&#8217;re really excited, and it means something deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can say this when you earn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/business-vocabulary-strong-impressions-work\/\">a big opportunity like a promotion<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This should also be used for something you&#8217;re really excited about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#4: I\u2019m honored to<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is more profound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re sharing that you are honored to do something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, someone may ask you to be a godparent or be their maid of honor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be something that is more meaningful for you, then you can respond with this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#5: I\u2019d be overjoyed <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like saying, \u201cI\u2019m honored,\u201d this is also something profound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is perfect for something that is a milestone in your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As this is for extreme happiness, don&#8217;t use it for everyday situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/applause-vocabulary-english\/\">We also use this sarcastically.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re not at all happy about something you could sarcastically say you&#8217;re overjoyed to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Playful ways to agree<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are other phrases you can use jokingly and be playful in your response to someone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These should not be used at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coworkers and superiors might be confused or offended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, they&#8217;re great for being fun and playful with friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Not happy about it!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019ll do it but I\u2019m not happy about it&#8221; is a fun and playful phrase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re asked do something you don\u2019t want to do by a friend, you can respond playfully and say this phrase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s a playful way to say I&#8217;ll do it, but I want you to know that I&#8217;m not excited about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Not thrilled about it!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m up for the challenge but I\u2019m not thrilled about this.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This would be best used as a response to your colleague but not your manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a good way to show you have a can-do attitude and will still be willing to do a task even though it may not be your forte or may take too much of your time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should consider who you\u2019re talking to and your relationship with them when using this phrase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Roleplay<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay and Aubrey share a roleplay to help you better understand how to use these phrases in a conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this scenario, Lindsay and Aubrey are dividing up tasks for an upcoming service project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Lindsay:<\/strong> Would you be able to send the invitations?<br><strong>Aubrey:<\/strong> Yes, absolutely!
