<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been on Youtube as an English teacher since 2016. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has also recently built an app to streamline his online courses and vocabulary for people to enjoy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay asks Charlie if he can remember a time when he reconnected with his creativity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie answered yes and said it happened to him just recently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cricket coach failure<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>He reminisces about the time he was growing up and he didn\u2019t really know what his passion was. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He wasn\u2019t really in a place of creativity when he was younger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He didn\u2019t really know what he enjoyed doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He tried coaching cricket and did not love it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He knew his passion lay elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently he has been in a creative flow because he is now in a place where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/find-motivation-and-purpose-after-your-life-in-the-us\/\">he has found purpose<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is passionate about what he is doing now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>British stoicism<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay asks Charlie why it is weird for a British person to say he has found his purpose or passion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie says that it\u2019s because Brits are often seen as very stoic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They often lack expressions on their faces or may seem a little bit emotionless. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further explains that sharing too many emotions as a British person reminds him of how Americans are and he loves them for it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Americans are very passionate and reactive which has brought the whole world a lot of entertainment and great works of art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Three Tips to Reconnect With Creativity <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie shares 3 tips for us to reconnect with our creativity to attain success in language learning and in life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#1: Do not think of creativity as binary<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay mentioned that we all are creative as kids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s innate in us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie mentions Sir Ken Robinson who has transformed education in many ways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sir Ken Robinson did a Ted Talk about finding your element. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie focuses on the paperclip study mentioned in the talk by Sir Ken Robinson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the study, they give out paper clips to different people of different ages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They asked them how many ways they can use the same paperclip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astoundingly, the 5-year-olds gave more creative ideas than the adults. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are all creative in our own way and society may have taught us to have boundaries around our creativity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">#2: <strong>Put yourself in a constant state of flow. <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve a state of flow, you have to get the basics covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means you need to have enough sleep, eat healthily, and keep your body moving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without having to worry about the basics, your mind becomes clear and you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/aee-1315-how-to-say-english-flexible\/\">focus on establishing your flow<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can then do what you are passionate about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindsay shares that podcasting is where she finds her flow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is her passion and she enjoys it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#3: Bring your passion into language learning<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie mentions that he is trying to learn Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He sometimes struggles to get in the flow of learning it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He shared a method he does to join what he enjoys doing with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/interview-bbc-learning-english-neil-edgeller\/\">learning a new language<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was inspired by Sir Ken Robinson as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, you have to write a list of all the activities you do in your life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, choose an activity and think about the skill needed to do that activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can then sort them from skills you are good at and not good at. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, you\u2019ll end up with a list of skills you are good at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use it to help you get to the flow state and figure out what you need to learn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3
