impressive!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He saw the gap and knew he couldn&#8217;t just read fiction novels and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/ielts-energy-1095-ielts-reading-tips-and-tricks-for-every-exam\/\">get 7+ on the Reading exam<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was very proactive in his study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#3: Writing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Koji did very well on the Writing exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Writing<\/strong>: 7<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He was not expecting a 7, because he did not finish one of his strategies<\/a> and wrote very good essays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of this, in spite of not finishing an essay, he still got a very good score!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koji felt very confident on test day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is because he had completed the <a href=\"http:\/\/allearsenglish.com\/keys\">3 Keys IELTS course<\/a> and had the strategies he needed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Task 1 difficulties<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>He struggled on the letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He took longer than the recommended 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What helped was having <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/ielts-energy-1089-how-renee-masters-ielts-writing-templates\/\">templates<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/ielts-energy-1123-how-vocabulary-can-ruin-your-task-achievement-score\/\">high level vocabulary<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/linking-words-ielts-speaking\/\">linking words<\/a> to boost his score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He already knew what structure to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had practiced this daily so he was ready!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Advice on sharing a strong opinion<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In our course, Koji discovered that he must share his opinion on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/ielts-energy-1114-do-ielts-sample-essays-help-your-score\/\">every IELTS essay<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This applies even if the topic doesn&#8217;t ask for your opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only does it need to be present, but it must be justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must give reasons, supporting details and examples for this opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should line up with the idea of at least one of your body paragraphs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#4: Speaking<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Speaking<\/strong>: 7<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an excellent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/ielts-energy-1126-band-9-idioms-for-ielts-speaking-challenges\/\">Speaking score<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koji felt he had difficulty finishing his ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, he felt he could do better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He recognizes he has a tendency to be self-critical and negative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He works in customer service in his native language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usually, he is able to converse easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also is able to chat with friends in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, IELTS is not the same as daily conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Test-day anxiety<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, Koji had a lot of anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He decided to be confident!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This helped him go into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/ielts-energy-1092-ielts-speaking-vocabulary-weird-article-slang\/\">Speaking test<\/a> confident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, he performed well in spite of
