How long has Michelle been living in New York? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Over 10 years ago she made the decision to live in the Big Apple and she is happy to advise on what she did to get through all the difficulties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle knew only a couple of people in the city when she first moved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her idea originally was just to get to the city and stay for the summer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She gave herself a deadline to get a job by the end of the summer and if that didn’t happen, she\u2019d return home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately, she got a job as a temp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To temp position is to fill in a role of an employee who is on leave in a certain company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This can be temporary or can eventually turn out to be a permanent job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lindsay said this sounds difficult because it seemed that she has to learn about a new office every time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle agreed that it was difficult but she did have a good experience where she temped at Good Will as an event planner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She got really close with her co-workers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her bad experience was when she worked for a certain brand but then they were very rude to her, so she boycotted them ever since. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
