This will aid you in scoring well in <strong>Coherence \/ Cohesion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You have probably also <a href=\"\/ielts\/ielts-energy-linking-words-7-in-writing-task-2\/\">learned academic linking words<\/a>, which will help in that category as well.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you&#8217;ve also made long lists of impressive words and phrases, and told yourself that you need to memorize them.<\/p>\n<p>However, you still cannot receive <a href=\"\/ielts\/ielts-energy-320-5-writing-worries-lower-ielts-score\/\">the score you need on the IELTS Writing Exam<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Try incorporating the following advice into your practice, and watch your scores skyrocket!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Get Impressive Vocabulary, and Use It<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Read the newspaper in English at least twice a week. However, only add a <strong>total of 4 words<\/strong> to your notebook every time you read it.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/ielts\/high-scoring-vocabulary-ielts-writing-task-2\/\">Only choose words that are very impressive<\/a>. Also, try to only write down words and phrases that could apply to many different topics.<\/li>\n<li>Keep this Task 2 list <strong>in front of you<\/strong> when you write your essay, and put check marks next to the words that you are able to use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Practice using these words<\/strong> in your writing and speaking as much as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Broaden Your Awareness<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>We always say that IELTS does not care about your ideas.
