Have you ever spoken with a real Native American person from a tribe in the United States?<\/p>\n

The issue of Native Americans and how their cultures interact with the mainstream American culture is a topic that you should be prepared to discuss with native speakers if you are living or traveling in the United States.<\/p>\n

During my trip around the United States I stopped in Gallup, New Mexico to chat with Virgil.<\/p>\n

Virgil is a native of the Navajo tribe.<\/p>\n

I asked him a lot of questions about his life on and off the reservation.<\/p>\n

I also learned more about the ways in which Native Americans are treated by the government.<\/p>\n

My conversation was enlightening and we have recorded the conversation on video. It will be in our course<\/a> which will be released very soon.<\/p>\n
