There are so many IELTS sites and books<\/a> out there, and, unfortunately, not all of these resources are appropriate<\/strong> for your learning.<\/p>\n

There are definitely some questions that are not valid<\/strong>, as far as modern-day IELTS<\/strong> goes!<\/p>\n

Here is the first bad Task 2 question<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all careers? How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all workers?<\/em><\/p>\n

How can people be satisfied in their work?<\/em><\/p>\n

Give your opinion on this and discuss the solutions.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

There are too many questions<\/strong> in this question!<\/p>\n

There is no way<\/strong> you could answer this well in 4 paragraphs, in 40 minutes, with about 250 words<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This would not be seen<\/strong> on your IELTS Exam!<\/p>\n

There are 3 questions<\/strong>, along with asking for your opinion<\/strong> and solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A valid might ask you 2 questions<\/a>, but no more. Also, there might be 2 main topics<\/strong>, but no more than that.<\/p>\n

Here is the second bad Task 2 question<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Present a written argument or case to an education reader with no specialist knowledge of the following topic:<\/em><\/p>\n

The idea of having a single career is becoming an old-fashioned one. The new fashion will be to have several careers, or ways of earning money, and further education will be something that continues throughout life.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is a very old question<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

That way of beginning, \u201cPresent a written argument\u2026<\/strong><\/em>\u201d is from a very old IELTS exam, perhaps a decade or more.<\/p>\n

Thus, you shouldn\u2019t practice<\/strong> with this question, as you won\u2019t<\/strong> see this on your exam<\/a>.<\/p>\n
