You are conveying disappointment, but in a more formal way. This isn\u2019t about fear, but rather about a nice way of expressing your disappointment.\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cI wanted to give you a good grade, but I\u2019m afraid that you failed the test.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Sadly<\/em>:<\/strong> This is also a bit more formal in nature, but it is used commonly in conversation.
