What are the appropriate things to say in this situation?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Thank you so much for your help!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong> Fabriciano<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"height:51px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Knowing Your Audience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes when it comes to knowing the right things to say in English, it\u2019s about knowing who you are talking to.<\/p>\n<p>It helps to know your audience, such as who you are talking to and even the environment you are speaking within. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s so vital to know how the English language changes based on the audience. <\/p>\n<p>With writing, it  really is no different. <\/p>\n<p>We write differently depending on who we are talking to, so we consider  the audience. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.allearsenglish.com\/aee-435-get-email-gentle-nudge-method-english\/\">Emails are written differently<\/a> to a friend than they would be written to a boss.<\/p>\n<p>You write differently when you are reaching out to a friend versus when you are applying to a job with a hiring manager.<\/p>\n<p>Its about knowing who you are talking to, and then using this to help you to decide upon the right tone or way of speaking.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:56px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Bre<strong>aking Down Formal vs. Informal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Formal<\/em>:  This may be more about something that is written out and therefore longer versions of communication. You may use phrases such as \u201cI look forward to hearing from you soon,\u201d or \u201cHave a wonderful day\u201d or \u201cThank you for your time.\u201d More written out, longer versions. <\/p>\n<p><em>Informal<\/em>:  This tends to include shorter and more direct phrases. You might say something in writing like you would speak it in everyday conversation. It may be shorter and have more exclamation points too.
