Today you\u2019ll learn how to go big in your IELTS General Training letter.<\/p>\n

IELTS General Writing Task 1 is not like real life<\/strong>. Even if you write a lot of emails <\/strong>in real life, it\u2019s not enough<\/strong> to prepare you for this task.<\/p>\n

So much of your score is based on how much detail you give about each bullet point<\/a>. Thus, most of your sentences should be directly connected<\/strong> to those points.<\/p>\n

Why is it important to you?<\/em><\/p>\n

What do you want the company to do to solve the problem?<\/em><\/p>\n

Any question that asks you to write to a person you do not know<\/strong>, like a company, is formal <\/strong>in tone.<\/p>\n

In these letters, it is appropriate to introduce yourself<\/strong> first. You can say, \u2018Good afternoon. My name is Jessica Beck, and I am writing regarding\u2026<\/em><\/strong>\u2018<\/p>\n

This formal tone must be consistent<\/a> throughout your letter<\/strong> in order to get a 7+ for Task Achievement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also, you should have one paragraph for each bullet point<\/a>.<\/p>\n
