Learning How To Take Control<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So when you do a presentation, sometimes people may ask questions during the presentation\u2013they may not wait until the end. <\/p>\n

Though this is frustrating, it\u2019s something that you can often count on to happen.<\/p>\n

Even with the best planning, sometimes people in the audience want to ask questions as they think of them.<\/p>\n

How do you plan for this?<\/p>\n

How do you take control over the situation?<\/p>\n

This too is about being prepared, but it\u2019s also about regaining control over the way that you run your presentation. <\/p>\n

This is ultimately about setting boundaries when you start your presentation.<\/p>\n

If you set boundaries, then your audience will know what to do.<\/p>\n

Many times the audience memrber will actually appreciate you setting these boundaries up front.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like laying things out, not only for yourself, but for the audience you are presenting to.<\/p>\n

You may have a preference for taking questions up front or at the end of a presentation.<\/p>\n

Whichever you prefer, you want to state this up front. <\/p>\n

This is a great sign of confidence, and ensures that you can take control over things early on. <\/p>\n

Pros and Cons With This Situation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As with anything, there are pros and cons to taking questions along the way.<\/p>\n

It may be based upon your style or personality as to which works better for you.<\/p>\n

If you hold off the questions until the end, then that helps you to stay on track throughout.<\/p>\n

If you decide to take the questions as they come though, there are some pros and cons to dealing with this.<\/p>\n
