Benefits of working from home<\/em> <\/p>\n\n- Flexibility<\/em><\/strong>: You can certainly make your hours more flexible, which is a huge benefit. You can change meetings around or work a certain schedule, as it\u2019s all from the comfort of your own home. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- No commute<\/em><\/strong>: Think of the time that you save when you don\u2019t have to commute into the office. You likely save a ton of time by just going to your dedicated home office space, rather than having to get into the office and home again. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Your own space<\/em><\/strong>: You can set up your own home office space however works best for you. It can be free of distractions and therefore be helpful to have your own unique spot in your home to focus and be productive. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Safe<\/em><\/strong>: This is especially important right now during Covid. You know that you are safe within your own home office space, and away from any potential dangers. You aren\u2019t interacting with people, and that means that you can rest easy that this is a good environment especially right now. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Negatives of working from home<\/em><\/p>\n\n- Too much video chat<\/em><\/strong>: If you are like most people then you probably get so sick of being online and doing video chats. All meetings are on Zoom or other types of platforms and they may seem to take up your day and make you feel as if you are stuck on these constantly. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Miss out on human connection<\/em><\/strong>: The reality is that video chats aren\u2019t the same at all! You may be missing out on actual human face-to-face interaction. It can get a bit lonely sometimes and you may miss the relationships that you have in person. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Collaboration may not be quite as easy<\/em><\/strong>: There are always going to be times when you need to collaborate with your coworkers. You may have a big project to do or just need to talk through important work issues. It\u2019s not quite as easy to collaborate online to get this all accomplished. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Hard to stop working<\/em><\/strong>: You may feel as if you are always working because it\u2019s easy to fall into this trap from home. You may find it\u2019s harder to stop working because it\u2019s always there and always accessible. When you are in the office it\u2019s a lot easier to have a clear cut end time. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
