You\u2019ve likely heard the word curb as a noun.<\/p>\n

Curb<\/strong> (n.): the edge of the sidewalk next to a street<\/p>\n

We also use this as a verb.<\/p>\n

Curb<\/strong> (v.): lessen, decrease<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll often hear the expression \u201ccurb your enthusiasm.\u201d<\/p>\n

This means \u201cessentially\u201d or \u201cbasically.\u201d<\/p>\n
